The City of Montgomery is seeking applications for the position of Director of Finance.
Job Summary: Job Summary: Responsible for planning, directing, and overseeing the activities and operations of finance and accounting, including budget, utility billing & purchasing, payroll and preparation of financial statements. Coordinates assigned activities with other City departments and outside agencies. Establishes, interprets and enforces all accounting, purchasing, investment and fiscal policies, procedures and activities. This position will be responsible for ensuring compliance with all applicable legal requirements related to the City's finances.
Responsible for the preparation of reports needed by other Department Heads, the City Administrator, as well as regular reporting to the City Council as required. Exercises direct supervision over Finance Department staff. This position will report to the City Administrator and be a key part of the City Administrator's management team.
