Municipal Court

Q. Can someone pay a citation online?
A. Yes. Go to Paying Tickets Online

Q. Can I extend the date of my appearance on my citation?
A. Yes, please call the municipal court Monday-Friday between 8am-5pm

Q. Does the municipal court accept checks and credit cards?
A. The municipal court only takes Money Order and Cashier's Check, no personal checks allowed. Credits cards are accepted with an added convenience fee.

Q. Can I take Defensive Driving for my citation?
A. In most cases yes, but the defendant needs to speak to the court clerk to set that up.

Utilities

Q. Does the City accept checks or credit cards for utility payments?
A. Yes, the City accepts all checks; personal, money order, and cashier's check. The Utility department will be accepting credit cards soon for utility payments with an added convenience fee. Please call Utility billing for more info.
F. If your water has been turned off due to non payment, all customers must pay a $75.00 reconnect fee, plus the past due balance.

Q. How do I apply for new water service?
A. To apply for utility service, including water/sewer/garbage you can visit our Public Utilities page and print out an application and email it to rspell@ci.montgomery.tx.us or visit us at 101 Old Plantersville Rd. to apply in person.
F. Disconnect day will always fall on the 8th of the month. Unless it falls on a holiday or weekend, it will be the next business day.

Permits

Q. How do I schedule an inspection?
A. To schedule an inspection please call the building permits department before noon to schedule next day inspections.

General

Q. Am I in the City of Montgomery?
F. The City of Montgomery is a 4 mile square radius; one mile in each direction North, South, East and West of intersection 149 and Hwy 105.
