N.H. Davis Pioneer Complex & Museum
The Davis log house began as the home of W.C. Clark who constructed his log house north of town in 1831. Upon his death, the family used this log home as payment for legal work by practicing attorney Nat Hart Davis who had moved to Montgomery in 1840.

In 1851, Nat Hart Davis disassembled the Clark house and moved the logs to its present location. In addition to the log house, a side or "shed" room and attic bedroom were built, and an underground cistern was dug As the family grew so did the home. In 1855 improvements were made to the home. Judge Davis and his family resided here until 1876. John Felix Davis, son of N.H. moved into the home and continued the renovations.
