by Carlton Gibson and influenced by Dave Marr, was established in 1972 and is conveniently nestled
on the shores of Lake Conroe.
Other amenities include 12 tennis courts (4 covered and 8 outdoor
courts with lights), a workout room, boat launch, 3 swimming pools, a lakeside conference center for

Blaketree National Golf Club
Amid the dense forests of Montgomery County, Blaketree National offers golfers 18 holes of challenge
and bountiful beauty. The course’s natural setting is exquisitely carved with pure undulating terrain
that serves to accentuate the greens that are formed by nature, rather than machine.
The course can stretch to more than 7,000 yards at professional tee
lengths, with ample tees that will accommodate players of all levels.
Water is in play on seven holes and because of the accessibility of
the tee/green relationship on each hole, walking is permissible, although carts are available.

beautifully-appointed villa.
Del Lago Resort and Conference Center
Test your skill at Del Lago's 18-hole championship golf course, and
play one of the area’s most challenging rounds of golf. Originally designed by acclaimed player/architects
Jay Riviere and Dave Marr, this heavily-wooded 6,794 yard course features beautiful tree-lined
fairways, cascading waterfalls, bubbling fountains, an island tee box, 11 lakes and more than 50 bunkers.
The Par 72 course has a 72.6 rating, with a 131 slope, which makes it a challenging course for tournament
golfers, yet forgiving enough for amateurs to enjoy. The course is open year-round.
Swimming, racquetball, volleyball, basketball and tennis are all available, and with 11 lighted
tennis courts, you can enjoy a game any time of day. Relax afterward in the club health spa and enjoy

Lake Windcrest Golf Club
With a great balance of dogleg rights and lefts, Lake Windcrest offers
slight uphill and downhill holes with greens offering varying degrees of support and plenty of shot
options. The course has four sets of tees so every golfer has the opportunity to play the course to his
or her ability.
Typically, the course is forgiving, in that if the golfer hits the
green, a two-putt is probable. If the green is missed, there is ample bailout and the possibility of
getting up and down with a good pitch shot.
But beware hole #16 – the longest par-5 hole on the course. It’s a
592-yard shot from the blacks and an upward drive – and generally against the wind – to a very long
and shallow green.
Lake Windcrest offers a fully-stocked pro shop, a meeting room and
pavilion for large groups or tournaments, and a full-service grill.
For more information, to reserve a tee time and to inquire about hours
of operation, call 281-259-2279. The course is located at 10941 Clubhouse Circle, off FM 1488, about 12
miles from Montgomery.
